Happy birthday Daniel (Day Lewis)

My top 10 films of Daniel Day-Lewis are:
Oh sorry, Daniel. Could you please speak up? The Lord cannot hear you..

  1. There Will Be Blood Daniel Plainview is a liar, a salesman, a bad father, a corrupt businessman, the epitome of all American evil.
  2. In the Name of the Father He suffers greatly in this film from the corrupt UK government against Irish Republicans.
  3. My Left Foot His first really kick ass character and a breakthrough in indie films.
  4. Gangs of New York He sort of portrays this really nasty killer in the Five Points district who throws these anime-like tomahawks.
  5. Beautiful Laundrette He's a thug and he plays a homosexual, a rare feat during the 90s.
  6. The Boxer: Gotta portray him somehow like Robert De Niro
  7. The Unbearable Lightness of Being
  8. Lincoln Daniel Day- who? I only saw the Kansas-born President of the United States!
  9. Nine: He's an over the top singer
  10. The Bounty: He plays against ANTHONY HOPKINS
 I'm finished!

The best films of Al Pacino

  1. Dog Day Afternoon
  2. Scarface
  3. Glengarry Glenn Ross
  4. ... And Justice For All
  5. The Humbling
  6. Serpico
  7. The Godfather Part II
  8. Carlito's Way
  9. Donnie Brasco
  10. The Godfather Part I
  11. People I Know
  12. Dick Tracy
  13. Insomnia
And I don't know if I'd actually put it as 14, but I know people don't like this choice: Jack and Jill.

That's pretty much how you put Al Pacino in a film. I felt like he had a lot of control with it. Probably did the dance number and choreography himself. He yells at Sandler's characters as if it were any other Pacino film. He's genuinely enjoyable in such a mess of a film.
There's not going to be multiple layers of it of course.
And heck, if you're complaining, screw you! You watched Al Pacino in an Adam Sandler film. What were you expecting?

Barrett is the original Django Unchained

Everything about Barrett is about Cowboy conventions:
  • His origin in a vast land of dry barren sand, before later ending up in a land of dry barren mako reactor city.
  • His duel with Dyne
  • The chocobo race that saves his and AVALANCHE's life in the prison
  • 7th Heaven is a bar, which he shoots up
  • His loud rambunctious cowboy-like nature.
  • His gun
  • Ghost town
  • Casino
  • The Fall
  • The slaughter of Native Americans over land
  • Coal
  • The past
  • Fire

Batman vs Superman vs Star Wars trailers

1977 and 1978 were epic years. The debut of the blockbuster was great with the introduction of George Lucas' Star Wars, Steven Spielberg's Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Richard Donner's Superman. In 2015, we are hit with 2 big trailers on April 16th, Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens and Superman vs Batman.
Who won?
The Force Awakens is a bit of a mixed bag. The movie is a bit unclear, and probably very nostalgia driven, which really failed in the Star Trek reboot sequel, Star Trek: Into Darkness. JJ is more of a marketer than a pure auteur. He shows some upgrades over what was at least formerly the Rebel Alliance Rebel Army often referred to as the Rogue Squadron in the Expanded Universe and Imperial Stormtroopers. Han and Chewie are back. We see an Obi-Wan-like Mark Hamill previously. There are rumors of Mara Jade in previous trailers. The Empire is seen as a bit Nazi-like in how they display their flags. A bit more standoffish than previously, taking a risk.
Also, a main character in the stormtrooper may be a good guy stormtrooper or may not be a stormtrooper at all, possibly helping the Rebels. It could be an homage to Episode IV.

Superman vs Batman had an interesting take on comics that is highly desired. Post 2008, audiences have been constantly pondering around the world? Who do you trust? Anyone of authority? How much power is too much?
Most powerful man in the world is controversial. Religion and saviors. Challenge of world. Authority. Universe. Objective.
The production design of the city.
The world in darkness.
The monolith that creates Batman.
Warriors in the sky.
What he can do. What he should do.
Joker Joker?
How a fever and rage starts. Powerlessness. Turn good men to . Alfred Jeremy Irons.
Tumblr, conventional Batwing.

Superman vs Batman wins.

Now who wins? Batman or Superman?

Steaming Force problem

I love the Sword of Hayja. The music was great. The graphics were great. The FPS was great. There wasn't unnecessary town crawling.
I never had a chance to encounter another Shining Force storyline while playing since the only other SEGA console I ever owned was the Dreamcast.
Steam came along and I had to jump aboard.
Bad decision.

First computer:
Couldn't save at all. The buttons didn't work, because the computer had a low capacity, albeit there was plenty for GENESIS games.

Second computer:
Could save state.
However, I saved state after I saved in the game, which screwed up everything, because the Shining Force storyteller just blinks at you after saving the game, because SEGA didn't bother to change the turn off function for the rom originally in the game.

I either have to:
1) Save only in Save Game (emulator) mode OR
2) Save in game and then press New Game to activate the rest of the game.

And then, according to the Steam forum I hear they're other issues.
Anybody encounter a similar problem or perhaps my very lousy computers just can't run things.
I apologize any miscrepreancies as I'm a poor New Yorker, with multiple part time jobs. I have multiple jobs which probably won't pay for my rent or health insurance if I wasn't living in my parents' house, which PAINS ME a lot more than you guys.
Thank you.
Rant over.

Discuss other things besides the damaged US economy.
