Dead Rising 2, Capcom and Racism

Resident Evil 4 is a portrayal of friggin Victorian era Spain. I don't know if anyone's going to get offended by that.
Resident Evil 5, I wasn't really sensitive toward the portrayal of a zombie race of a certain kind. It'd be nice if it was more diverse, since Africa now has a high number of Chinese there, hence Chinese zombies. But this is a blockbuster. Make it dumber. This is a fantasy world.
I don't think they had the KKK Doom mod in mind when making this game. No genocidal explanations or anything. Heck, some supernatural abilities can be portrayed as a bit of an empowering.

Dead Rising 2 however sorta George Lucas' it.
Everybody's getting to LaShandra. I didn't even get to LaShandra. Maybe it's not that bad of a portrayal of an African America. I don't know.
I just got upset by a lady who was overweight and was the first lady to have a weapon in her hand prior to beating up the zombies. This is an era of friggin Left 4 Dead 2. I'm not saying you can't have overweight African American woman in the game, but it just came off as lazy stereotyping in the game which maybe relevant later on.
It's a zombie game, which is such a wonderful sci fi genre, where you could be using it as a theme for mental illness, consumerism or racism, it just comes off as a lazy character design and moment.

Now, this is a blockbuster video game. I understand. George Lucas it.
But when the producer used to be the creator of this be this anti-corporate, anti-militant game makes something so lazy associated with his name, you have to ponder whether this may have factored into the creation of Mighty No. 9.
