The Simpsons has basically become the Kamen Rider Decade of American Cartoons

Now don't get me wrong.
I love KAMEN RIDER DECADE.
But this is an analysis of Simpsons mixed with some of its fanbase's criticisms.
The Simpsons has some wit. They make a lot of different types of shows, with good mixes of special guest hosts, etc..

Simpsons has basically become Kamen Rider Decade in terms of how the writers have completely disregarded canon to make some points.
With Ned Flanders being the key representation of how the show's gone more commentary and possibly nepotism and brand strength, rather than actual fans knowing of canon to enjoy, there have been problems with the later seasons.
Forget the constant use of Groundhogs Day. This is like Lynchian Groundhogs Day, where the episodes have been more about messages, which are so spelled out and "stand up comedy" pop culture references that they've lost the creativity of such original Harvard written episodes such as Bart's Soul, main Americana based episodes and the guest appearance of Dustin Hoffman

It then goes into Kamen Rider Shin territory in terms of how violent it's gotten, despite supposedly being an adult show, (which my kid mind will never acknowledge.)

One has to ponder if fans had went into these episodes with a more Lynchian approach, appreciating film references as seen in cuts of all of the first 6 season's references rather than just pure canon; canon, a part of plot writing that is very difficult to do in an era of Rob Ager approach analysis.

However, as you fans know, Kamen Rider Black was so good at this kind of balance, it was considered THE Kamen Rider for fans to appreciate of the Showa era.

So yeah, not everything has to be appreciated for straight plot and canon, like ToQger, although there's nothing wrong with being spoiled and having both!

They need more Kamen Rider Gyms. Sorry for the stolen joke Automan224. http://www.tokunation.com/showthread.php?p=382749

Dead Rising 2, Capcom and Racism

Resident Evil 4 is a portrayal of friggin Victorian era Spain. I don't know if anyone's going to get offended by that.
Resident Evil 5, I wasn't really sensitive toward the portrayal of a zombie race of a certain kind. It'd be nice if it was more diverse, since Africa now has a high number of Chinese there, hence Chinese zombies. But this is a blockbuster. Make it dumber. This is a fantasy world.
I don't think they had the KKK Doom mod in mind when making this game. No genocidal explanations or anything. Heck, some supernatural abilities can be portrayed as a bit of an empowering.

Dead Rising 2 however sorta George Lucas' it.
Everybody's getting to LaShandra. I didn't even get to LaShandra. Maybe it's not that bad of a portrayal of an African America. I don't know.
I just got upset by a lady who was overweight and was the first lady to have a weapon in her hand prior to beating up the zombies. This is an era of friggin Left 4 Dead 2. I'm not saying you can't have overweight African American woman in the game, but it just came off as lazy stereotyping in the game which maybe relevant later on.
It's a zombie game, which is such a wonderful sci fi genre, where you could be using it as a theme for mental illness, consumerism or racism, it just comes off as a lazy character design and moment.

Now, this is a blockbuster video game. I understand. George Lucas it.
But when the producer used to be the creator of this be this anti-corporate, anti-militant game makes something so lazy associated with his name, you have to ponder whether this may have factored into the creation of Mighty No. 9.

2014: The year of the apatriotic marine

Godzilla, who's a marine, but just wants to find a semblance for what happened to his family, possibly not even saving the world. He's a human more than his occupation. His occupation isn't really even part of him.

Boyhood, a marine who is moral, but realizes that the men around him aren't. He works hard, is a legit good guy.
